An earth quake from Texas to Iowa shook a lot of property around Wednes day. Cause said to be that part of the earth is over a buried mountain range which was shifting about .... Betty Wills writing :n aparianourg Herald says: ’ The Civic League of Landrum, which is all of 42 years old, has five charter members, all active in civic wark of some kind although some gpif iem no longer live at Landrum. W. M. Lambright, Mrs. R. L. Lee and Miss May Landrum are still in the original league and Mrs. Lambright is serving as presi dent this year. Mrs. McDuff Tur ner of Spartanburg, who has meant much to civic club work here was another charter member. Mrs. C. W. Kittrell. now of Tryon, N.
